Cameroon offers the adventurous hunter a unique, one-of-a-kind African hunting experience.
With seven forest camps in the South Eastern corner of the country, bordering two National Parks, Boumba Bek and Lokomo , hunters can move between areas to ensure a successful safari. These areas offer a great variety of animals endemic to the forest, Bongo, Forest Sitatunga, Forest Elephant, Dwarf Buffalo, Giant Forest Hog and Forest Duikers to name but a few.
April till the end of July is the rainy season and the prime hunting time for these elusive forest species. End of December until mid-April is the hunting season for the savannah species, Lord Derby Eland, Western Roan, Northwestern Buffalo, Giant Topi, Sing Sing Waterbuck, Western Cob and Western Hartebeest to name but a few.
Early season being the best for Lord Derby Eland. For these savannah species there are four camps located in the North of Cameroon, between the National Parks Boubandjida and La Benoue.
Port of entry is the city Douala in Cameroon. From there, depending on the hunting area, it is either a domestic flight and road transfer or the option of a private charter plane to the hunting area.
